Melinda, Kailee, and Candice first began singing together in 2017, filling summers with music during the choral off-season. In 2022, they officially formed a trio, performing as The UppaTones until 2024—a nod to their all-soprano lineup and their tendency to bring nearly every song up a tone.

In 2025, they embraced the name morning glories, inspired by their original song Morning Glory:

"The branches climb, holding stories as they weave and they wind, giving root to the blossoms entwined around the morning glory."

They refine their harmonies over countless cups of jasmine tea, rehearsing in a Cloverdale, BC living room. Their performances are raw and intimate, built around their three voices with only the organic rhythm of stomps, snaps, and claps. Occasionally, they incorporate ukulele, guitar, or percussion, always in a way that highlights their intricate harmonies.

A vintage-style microphone captures the warmth of their sound, making every performance feel deeply connected. Whether singing in a cozy living room, on a festival stage, or bringing holiday cheer at winter events, morning glories create a musical experience that lingers long after the last note fades.
